Frequently Asked Questions

You know since I started my writing career, even if it had been a independant one at the very most, a lot of people who I tell that I have gone about publishing my own work for those to read, wonder how or why I got to this point in my life.  So for this page I have decided to answer some questions that I have been asked before so many can understand and benefit from what I have learned.

Q1

What got you started wanting to write?

Now that is a interesting question as many writers have probably been asked the same thing.  For me it was the fact that when I looked upon a landscape of a place where I had yet to lay my eyes upon I find myself wondering about a adventure a person or persons could have here if it were a story.

Of course in the past I have watched shows like Stargate SG-1, Star Trek, Animorphs, GUNDAM, etc. and I always wanted to know what it would be like to have lived a life in that enviroment.  So I would go about setting up a storyline for each where I would be introduced into the storyline where the characters know me like a old friend.

Q2

What types of Stories have you written so far since starting this site?

Well besides adventure, action, horror, fantasy, scifi the common things that a writer will write following these genes.  I have started to work on guides that are dealing with how to deal with bullies when at school which details on how a child should view a bully with a better undertsanding why the bully might be making fun of another less unforanute child, of course this guide will be going through a professional counselor this way nothing can be messed up.  Although I highly doubt I will ever publish it since I don't want other children taking too many risks when they don't need to.

Another of my guides will be showing the tips and suggestions to other young writers on how to overcome problems they may face if they aren't always able to get their own work published so they may have the best fortunes with this type of experience as I have.

Besides all of these being written right now, I have gone about writing commissions (stories for money) dealing with other people's fantasies ones that I would go into detail about.  Sorry.

Q3

Going off your first book, did you do any research for it while writing it?

For this question I find myself having to laugh not to insult anyone but to the very idea of how do you research werewolves and vampires in general?  I mean its not writing a book on someones life or a battle that happened a long time ago, no with what I did with the first book was I went about reading a few other stories dealing with both species just so I could get a better understanding of where to begin with for the template for the book.

No I did not read the Twilight series as the series there was moving in a different direction that I wanted my story to go with.  Getting back on subject, the only other research I did for the book was by gathering a females POV for Miri and other cultures that I try to refer to in first book along with the books to come along.

For example, book two will have several scenes dealing with military action that I wanted to get some experience advice from those that serve in the military before so I can get the intial feel of the things that the characters are going through be given to the readers.

Q4

What were some of the difficulties that you experience writing these books?

Besides the normal ones like finding time to write and all, I can list off several.

1.  When the computer crashes and the only way to get it to work again is to have it reset officially losing all of the information or work I have done in the past.  Since it has happened more than once I have gone about going to USB cards to store my books.

2.  Finding a publisher willing to take a look at the manuscript without scamming me, lucky enough I found a book that offered several companies that were well known.  However they wouldn't even consider looking at my work unless I am represented by a actual agent so I was forced to go independant with my works, the links where I published through will be put in the links section soon.

3.  Making a cover for the book that would be accepted by the named self publishing sites was probably one of the most difficult areas I have faced.  Its not only to deal with the fact that any image that I would use from the internet would require me to get the copyright okay from not only the original owner of the picture, the sites manager where the picture was found, etc. So I found myself needing to go about handling it a different way.

I asked a fellow artist to help me with a book cover for the Kindle version anyways, while the paperback ended up being a image off the website where I published through for the paperback version.  The original cover can be found on the inside of the paperback on the title page also.
